Notes for Richard LIGHTFOOT

Possibly on Molokai
Richard was retarded and lived with his mother all of his life. He never married, but was able to hold down a job as a candy wrapper for the Society Candy company in the Seattle. Richard did not drive a car. My memory of Richard was that of a really big kid. When excited, he got loud, and we would remind him to lower his voice. He was always happy and tried real hard to fit into conversations. He earned his own money, and liked to spend it on travel with his mother. - Eileen Richardson.

That is a pretty good summary of Richard - Frank Burns 3rd. He was very religious. And was very kind hearted. He would do anything withing his power for any friend or relative. Because of his lack of communication skills he was very lonely. He died a few years before his mother passed away.
