Notes for Dennis MCCARTHY

Captain Felix McCarthy, 21 years older than great grandfather McCarthy. (Between them were seven girls, all of whom received dowries), was the last McCarthy to hold the ancestral estate. It was sold by Captain Felix to Captain Barnard, bother of Lord Brandon. Since great grandfather received no inhereitance, he took charge of a gentlema's estate in glenmire where his children were born. He died a young man from a kick in the chest by a horse.
